MUKONO – A 23-year old man in Nakabago village in Mukono District has committed suicide.
Mr. Vincent Mpangi, an unemployed young man hanged himself using a rope on a tree in a bush Wednesday, February 27.
The body was later found hanging on a tree by a young boy who had gone to the bush.
Mr. Mpangi’s family members told Police in Mukono that they saw him leave home in the morning with his bag not knowing what was in it.
The family later found out that the bag had his clothes which were found right next to his body. Mr. Mpangi did not leave any note behind.
Mr. Patrick Onyango, the public relations officer of Kampala Metropolitan Police, said: “We are investigating why Mr. Mpangi committed suicide. He did not leave a suicide note.”
