Villa confirms departures ahead of new season

Sixteen time Uganda Premier League champions SC Villa has confirmed the departure of eight players ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Jogoos revealed that four players had left the club, one already unveiled by a fellow UPL side while three were granted permission to speak to ther clubs.

Derrick Ndahiro, captain Asuman Alishe, Fahad Badiro and Faizal Muwawu are the four who were listed as already left the club.

Emmanuel Wasswa who joined KCCA FC and was recently unveiled by the Lugogo-based side, agreed to terminate his contract, Villa revealed.

The other three players in Saidi Keni, Andrew Kiwanuka and Nasser Lukwago were listed as those that have been given permission to negotiate transfers with any other club of their choice.

Villa is understood to be on the course to rebuild the team as they seek to revive their glory days.

They are in the market for new players with forward Charles Bbaale already signed.
