KAMPALA – KCCA FC has confirmed that youngster Steven Sserwadda will join the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Kasasiro Boys made the revelation on Tuesday afternoon that Sserwadda is signing with New York Red Bulls.

“We here by confirm that we have finalised an agreement for the transfer of Steven Sserwadda to New York Red Bulls on an undisclosed permanent transfer.” read a story on the KCCA website.

Sserwadda leaves the club six years after joining them in the 2015. He has gone on to win five trophies during that period.

The 18-year old is the second Ugandan to join MLS from KCCA FC after Mustafa Kizza signed for Montreal Impact.

At New York Red Bulls, Sserwadda will link up with former KCCA FC and Uganda Cranes player and captain Ibrahim Sekagya who is an assistant coach at the club.
