New football academy Reed F.A. opened with a gala at Kabira Country Club

Last Sunday Farid Kisuules’ Reed Football Academy opened its registrations for its training from age 6-13 with a gala event that had local academies competing for a trophy. Cranes players Ivan Bukenya and Savio Kabugo were present to share their experience and referee the games.

Reed Football Academy is a new soccer academy, establishing a kids program for the general public where Reed F.A. quality trainers and its vast network of professional footballers will be providing an engaging and quality kids training program. By frequently organising tournaments with other academies Reed F.A. seeks to facilitate exchange between organisations and foster a vivid football culture.

Founder Farid Kisuule says: “This academy aims to expose children to high quality training, mindset of excellence, opportunity to build a career in professional sports. I want to create an environment that supports children to make the best of their talents – one that was not available when I was young”.

As a new organization in the community, Reed F.A. intends to ensure a professionally organized training academy for development of competitive soccer players based on a curriculum
designed to develop fundamental technical skills and tactical awareness in young players who are committed to achieving at high level competitions.

A statement from board member Arinaitwe Rugyendo: “The nation is blessed with a new and fantastic addition to the Ugandan football industry in the form of a football academy whose mission revolves around the need to nurture football talents.

The academy comes at a time when Ugandan parents are stuck with football talents within their homes but have no mechanism through which they can nurture them. Reed Academy comes with a unique serving of a quality environment that promises to expose Ugandan children to modern football skills. Through a professional scouting system, the Academy promises to support
children to flourish and match the requirements for national, regional and international paid football ranks. An academy which is strong on feeding the future of football, Reed promises a unique and professional model never seen in Uganda.

The academy will focus on individualized development of players to elite levels, socializing and enjoyment. Reed F.A. is planning to work closely with the Federation of Uganda
Football Association, Makerere University department of sport science and biochemistry, schools and other youth organizations in an attempt to connect with the community.

Goals of the academy are:
– Enable high quality training
– Exposure to soccer talents
– Facilitate international exchange
– Promote academic excellence

Reed F.A. was established to provide a quality football program to the immediate community and beyond. It has a mission to create a community oriented football club that deserves the
status of Bukoto, prepare players to play in professional ranks, and national teams, and get sports scholarships for further studies later in future wherever there is need.

Reed Football academy is dedicated to providing high quality training, creating international club relations and exchange for talents.

Sign up your kids age 6-13 for our pre-academy kids training and get coached by Reed F.A. quality trainers and its vast network of professional footballers, who will be providing an engaging quality kids training program.

Saturday and Sunday from 9-10:30 at Kabira Country: Club Registration Fee: 200 000 UGX
(includes Reed F.A. Jersey, shin pads, socks, backpack): Fee per training: 20 000 UGX
