Onduparaka FC vs Wakiso Giants FC

Green Light Stadium, Arua

Tuesday, 15-12-2020 @4pm

Wakiso Giants FC will be desperate to get their season rolling when they take on Onduparaka FC at the Green Light Stadium in Arua on Tuesday.

The Purple Sharks who ‘are gunning for this season’s title’ are still winless this season after drawing all three of their encounters.

They have drawn with Police FC, Kyetume FC and Vipers SC.

Coming from a goal down at home to the defending champions last Saturday will have motivated them and they should go into the game feeling confident of winning the contest.

Ahead of the game, Wakiso will be without the duo of Karim Ndugwa and Fahad Kawooya who are both ill. The Purple Sharks are also still minus the trio of Hakim Ssenkumba, Ayub Kisalita and Tom Matsiko who are all long-term absentees.

What they are saying

Douglas Bamweyana, Wakiso Giants FC head coach

“We arrived safely and had a run out and feel we are ready.

“We have a very ready squad to do the job tomorrow and we are looking forward to it (game).”

Gadafi Wahab, Wakiso Giants FC midfielder and former Onduparaka FC captain

“We have prepared well for this game. It is a game we need badly and so we have prepared well.

“Its a long time but i have come back home with a target of helping my team win the game.”

For Onduparaka, they are coming off a hard-fought victory away to MYDA FC on match-day 3.

That win was much need after they had been humiliated 8-0 away to KCCA FC a few days prior.

The Arua based side who also drew 1-1 with Express FC on opening day, have so far collected four points and sit in 8th spot on the log.

Wakiso and Onduparaka will be meeting for only the third time in their history. The previous two encounters (both last season) produced 1-0 home victories.

The other games to be played on Tuesday @4pm

-BUL FC vs URA FC

-SC Villa vs KCCA FC

-Police FC vs Busoga United FC

Wednesday’s fixtures @4pm

-Kyetume FC vs UPDF FC
