Wakiso Giants FC at it again, draw at home to Bright Stars

Wakiso Giants FC 2-2 Bright Stars FC

Wakiso Giants FC continued their trend of drawing matching this campaign with a 5th successive stalemate.

The Purple Sharks who are also yet to register a single victory this season drew 2-2 at home to Bright Stars on Friday, December 18.

Vianne Ssekajuho and Ibrahim Kasule netted for the hosts while Bright Stars scores through Joseph Janjali and Ronald Ssempala.

As the game looked headed for a scoreless first half, were pegged back on 43 minutes as Joseph Janjali struck for the visitors.

Douglas Bamweyana’s side responded swiftly after the break through Ssekajugo’s goal on 46 minutes.

The game was then turned on its head on 77 minutes as Kasule handed Wakiso their first lead of the afternoon.

However, Ssempala struck with two minutes to play to level matters and in the process, ensure the game ended all-square.

This is Wakiso’s 5th draw in as many games since the start of the season and it leaves them in 8th spot with five points.

For Bright Stars, they also have five points after winning once and drawing on two occasions in their opening five games.

In their next fixtures, Wakiso Giants are away to Mbarara City FC on February, 12-2021 while Bright Stars host Kitara the following day.
