The Uganda Premier League continued on Wednesday with three games played.
At Kitende, Vipers SC scraped to a 2-1 victory at home to Kitara FC.
After a goalless first half, the Venoms made life hard for themselves as they conceded a Brian Mayanja goal in the 55th minute, to go 1-0 down.
With nine minutes to play, former Mbarara City FC winger Paul Mucureezi restored purity for Vipers with his first goal of the season.
Two minutes later, former UPL top scorer Dan Sserunkuma netted the winner for Vipers who registered their first victory of the season after drawing away to Wakiso Giants FC in their opening game last week.
The victory takes Vipers to four points for the campaign while Kitara who have now lost three of their opening four games, have just a single point.
At Njeru, Mustafa Mujjuzi netted a late penalty to ensure Kyetume beat UPDF to secure their maiden victory.
Kyetume who are currently in their second season in the top flight now have six points after drawing all their opening three games, before Wednesday.
For UPDF, they drop into third spot with 9 points from four games.
In the other game played on Wednesday, Express FC were held to a 1-1 draw away to Mbarara City FC.
The Red Eagles took the lead on 23 minutes through a Godfrey Lwesibawa free kick.
After holding on for a while, Express finally succumbed to pressure with 14 minutes to play as Soulymane Bamba equalized for Mbarara City FC.
Express remain unbeaten this season and now have five points from three games.
For Mbarara City, they have just two points from four games after drawing twice and losing as many in their opening four games.
