Police FC registered their first victory of the 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season as they defeated MYDA FC on Tuesday.

The Cops who drew 0-0 with Wakiso Giants FC last week won the game played at the King George IV Memorial Stadium in Tororo 3-1.

Ben Ochen netted a brace for the Cops while summer signing Eric Ssenjobe scored the other goal for Abdallah Mubiru’s side.

For MYDA who were playing their first game in the top flight struck through Ibrahim Nsimbe whose goal proved to be just a consolation in the end.

Police are a side know to score lots of goals and it took them just a minute to take the lead on Tuesday as Ochen opened the scoring.

Ssenjobe then made it 2-0 on 25 minutes to highlight their dominance in the opening exchanges.

Against the run of play, MYDA brought themselves back into the contest through Nsimbe’s goal, five minutes to the break.

After the break, the home side pressed for a leveler and came close to getting it on 49 minutes but Nsimbe was guilty of not finding the target after he was put through on goal.

The points were made safe for the visitors on 68 minutes as Ochen scored his second of the day.

In the end, Police held on to win their first game of the season and move onto 4 points from two games.
