Vipers SC vs Kitara FC

St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende

Wednesday, 16-12-2020 @4pm

Vipers SC will be out for a f first victory of the campaign when they host Kitara FC on Wednesday.

After a fruitless adventure in the CAF Champions League, the Venoms made their bow in the league last weekend.

Despite the optimism surrounding them, they could not get better of Wakiso Giants FC and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

On Wednesday, they have a chance to finally get their season rolling against one of the weakest side in the division.

Vipers midfielder Allan Kayiwa resumed training with the rest of the team this week but is not expected to feature. Rashid Toha was granted compassionate leave following the loss of his sister hence will be out of tge game.

Striker Shaban Muhammed will be expected to lead the line after his debut goal against Wakiso last weekend.

After sealing promotion to the top flight, Kitara have been handed a harsh welcome.

They drew away to Kyetume but have gone on to lose heavily at home to UPDF FC and Police FC, conceding five goals in each of the two losses.

It will be a huge task to try and take away anything from the game against Vipers who are the defending champions.

This will be the second time the two sides meet. The first was in the Uganda Cup, back in 2017, when Vipers won 3-1.

The other games to be played on Wednesday @4pm

-Kyetume FC vs UPDF FC

-Mbarara City FC vs Express FC
