Shaban nets on Vipers SC debuts as they draw away Wakiso Giants

Wakiso Giants FC 1-1 Vipers SC

Shaban Muhammed marked his Vipers SC debut with a goal as his side were held to a 1-1 draw with Wakiso Giants FC on Saturday.

Playing his first competitive game since joining the Venoms in August 2019, the former KCCA FC and Onduparaka striker netted with in 7 minutes.

It was as if the script was already written as he was set up by another league-debutant Disan Galiwango who was signed from Express FC last summer.

Vipers and Shaban were however denied a first victory of the season as Viane Sekajugo equalized for the Purple Sharks on 66 minutes.

Both side had chances to win the game but could not capitalize and in the end, it finished 1-1.

Wakiso Giants’ custodian Derrick Emukule was voted man of the match for his heroics in the game.

Vipers who missed the opening two rounds of the season due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League, now have a single point in one game.

For Wakiso Giants, they have drawn all their three games so far. They had earlier drawn 0-0 and 2-2 with Police FC and Kyetume FC respectively.

In their next fixtures, Wakiso Giants are away to Onduparaka FC on Tuesday while Vipers host Kitara FC the following day.

-Kitara FC 0-5 Police FC

-UPDF FC 2-1 BUL FC
