The Uganda Cranes head coach, Johnathan McKinstry has named a provisional team of 28 players for the upcoming CHAN Championships.
Uganda will take part in the tournament that will run between January 16 to February 07 in Cameroon.
The squad that has been announced includes Vipers SC striker Shaban Muhammed who made his debut for the Venoms, last week following a year out with knee issues.
It also includes Tonny Mawejje who just returned to Ugandan football after three years away. Mawejje who had last featured for the national team in 2017, joined Uganda Premier League side Police FC in August.
The squad which was announced on December 19, does not include KCCA FC players who are traveling to Rwanda for the CAF Confederation Cup.
All 28 players are expected to enter residential camp by Sunday, 20th December 2020.
The official training sessions kick off on Monday, 21st December at a venue yet to be confirmed.
