Wolfsburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt

VOLKSWAGEN Arena, Wolfsburg

Friday, 11-12-2020 @10:30pm

The Wolves are one of the best teams in the Bundesliga, and remain the only squad along with Leverkusen to still keep a hold of their unbeaten status. They also do have one of the best defenses in the German top flight.

As of now they are placed fifth in the table, and are lagging by just five points below the toppers. The team will try to play catch-up in the coming weeks, and will try to make good use of this upcoming encounter – considering it’s against the struggling Eagles.

Adolf Hutter’s men are one of the four teams in the whole competition to stay winless in their last five match-days. Do also note that they have a total of two wins all through this campaign, and it had come three months back.

Wolfsburg manager Oliver Glasner will be unable to call upon the services of Switzerland international Admir Mehmedi and and captain and midfielder Joshua Guilavogui, who are both out due to injuries.

Meanwhile, Eintracht Frankfurt will be without striker Andre Silva, young forward Ragnar Ache and Bosnia and Herzegovina international Marijan Cavar, who are all nursing injuries.

The Wolves had recorded 13 of the previous 18 overall wins. They had scored two or more goals in three of the former five fixtures. They are on a scoring streak of 16 matches. 10 of the past 13 wins at this venue had gone to the hosts. Since 1997, the home team has failed to score just once at this stadium.
