KCCA FC climbed top of the Uganda Premier League following a comprehensive victory over Onduparaka FC on Tuesday.
The Kasasiros have always humbled the Caterpillars at Lugogo, and it was more of the same as they won 8-0.
Summer signing Brian Aheebwa was the star of the show scoring four goals on the day, taking his tally to five in two games and scooping the man of the match accolade.
The former Mbarara City FC striker who was making his home debut went one better of Allan Okello who scored three goals against the same opposition in a 7-0 drubbing back in 2017. Okello was also making his home-League debut for Mike Mutebi’s side.
Teenage striker Sam Ssenyonjo also had a field day as he netted a hat trick, his first for the senior team in his second season. The other was scored by Herbert Achai.
Aheebwa opened the flood gates on19 minutes off a Ssenyonjo assist.
Achai who rarely scores netted the second three minutes later before Aheebwa turned provider for Ssenyonjo to make it 3-0 on at rhe half-hour mark.
Seven minutes before the break, Ssenyonjo pounced onto a rebound to put the Kasasiros in a commanding 4-0 lead.
Four soon became five at the stroke of half-time with Aheebwa converting from the spot.
Three minutes to the hour mark, Ssenyonjo completed his treble off a Kezironi Kizito assist.
Another treble would soon come with Aheebwa scoring his third and KCCA’s 7th of the afternoon after he was teed up by Achai.
The relentless Aheebwa was not done as yet and he netted his fourth with 17 minutes to complete the trounce.
The routine victory by KCCA FC means they have now beaten Onduparaka in all five of their fixtures at Lugogo, netting an overwhelming 24 goals and conceding just once in the process.
The victory takes KCCA, who also defeated Bright Stars 2-1 last week, top of the table with six points from just two games.
For Onduparaka FC, they drop to 13th with just a single point from two games.
In their next games, KCCA FC host Mbarara City FC on Friday while Onduparaka are away to MYDA on the same day.
