Bordeaux vs Montpellier
Stade Matmut-Atlantique, Bordeaux
Saturday, 07-11-2020 @6pm

Everything is feeling similar to the last few seasons for Bordeaux which equals a mid table performance. They have been a club to good to get involved in a relegation battle but to poor to challenge for European places and this season could well turn out to be the same.

The club are in 12th place with 3 wins, 3 losses and 3 draws. Last weekend they lost to Monaco going down 4-0 away from home and there was echoes to their defeat when they played Marseille a few weeks before that losing 3-1.

But at home Bordeaux are unbeaten with 2 wins and 3 draws and they come into this game having won back to back matches at home. Their home form alone would put them in 5th place.

Montpellier are in 9th place and Bordeaux could go past them if they lose this one. Last weekend was important as they claimed a 1-0 victory over Saint Etienne and it was their first win since September. On the road they performed decent with 2 draws, one win and one loss and they in fact come into this one undefeated away from home in their last three matches.

Last season this fixture ended 1-1. Bordeaux haven’t won this fixture at home for the past 3 attempts and their last victory was back in 2017 when they won 5-1. 3 from the last 4 meetings in the league has seen both teams to score.

PSG vs Rennes
Parc de Princes, Paris
Saturday, 07-11-2020 @10pm

PSG are back where they like it right on top! They have 21 points now and after a slow start they are looking like champions again. PSG have won their last 5 games and are looking very solid.

In midweek though they lost 2-1 away to RB Leipzig in the Champions League group stage. This was a little revenge for the Bundesliga club who were knocked out of last seasons competition by PSG.

Last weekend PSG went to Nantes and eased to a 3-0 victory showing all of their qualities and like the last seasons they look like being very hard to beat to to the title. They currently lead Ligue 1 by two points over Lille.

In Paris Thomas Tuchel’s side have scored 10 goals in their last two games and have conceded just 2 goals here so far this season.

Rennes are in 3rd place and have 18 points and would join PSG on the same number with a surprise win. Last weekend the club beat Brest at home winning that one 2-1 and they have lost just once in their last five games, although some of their results have been dogged by draws.

The visitors have played some good football and are keeping in the mix. Away from home they are currently unbeaten and have earned 8 points from a possible 12.

PSG won this fixture 4-1 the last time the clubs met in Paris. Rennes did shock PSG by beating them in Paris in 2018. In the last 3 meetings both teams have scored.
