Crystal Palace thumped Leeds United 4-1 at Selhurst Park with Eberechi Eze, Scot Dann, Helder Costa (OG) and Jordan Ayew netting for Palace while Patrick Bamford scored for Leeds.
In the late kick-off, Tomas Soucek scored an injury-time winner as West Ham United scrapped past Fulham 1-0. It was a game full of late drama as Fulham would go on to miss the chase to level affairs after Ademola Lookman missed from the spot with the last kick of the contest.
On Sunday, Harry Kean was the hero as Tottenham Hotspurs edged past West Bromwich Albion 1-0.
Jimmy Vardy’s penalty on 15 minutes did the trick for Leicester City in a 1-0 victory at home to Wolves.
In the headline fixture of the weekend, Kevin de Bruyne missed from the spot as Man City drew 1-1 with Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium. Mo Salah handed the visitors the lead from the spot before Gabriel Jesus equalized.
The last game of the day saw, Arsenal were thumped at home to Aston Villa with Ole Watkins scoring twice after Bukayo Saka had put through his own net.
