Nsibambi joins Uganda Cranes fold ahead of AFCON qualifiers

LUGOGO – Foreign based striker Derrick Nsibambi has joined the Uganda Cranes squad currently in camp.

Nsibambi joins the 22-man squad of only local-based players that have been training at Lugogo since Monday.

The team is gearing up for the Africa Cup of nations double header against South Sudan, this month.

They will undertake two sessions on Tuesday, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Uganda prepares to face South Sudan on November 12 at Kitende before a return leg in Nairobi, four days later.

Johnathan McKinstry’s side has collected four points from their opening two games. A draw against Burkina Faso was followed up with a home win verses Malawi.

Alionzi Nafian (URA FC), Lukwago Charles (KCCA FC), Mutakubwa Joel (Kyetume FC), Ndahiro Derrick (Sc Villa), Galiwango Disan (Vipers SC), Willa Paul (Vipers SC), Mandela Ashraf (URA), Iguma Denis (KCCA FC), Kato Samuel ( (KCCA FC), Juuko Murushid (Express FC), Lwaliwa Halid (Vipers SC), Mbowa Patrick ( URA FC), Mawejje Tony (Police FC), Kyeyune Saidi (URA FC), Kagimu Shafiq (URA FC), Watambala Kairm (Vipers SC), Owori David ( Sc Villa), Anukani Bright (KCCA FC), Oriti Ibrahim (Vipers Sc), Karisa Milton (Vipers SC), Mukwala Stephen (URA FC), Ahebwa Brian (KCCA FC), Derrick Nsibambi (Smouha, Egypt).
