Having lost only one of their seven appearances in the league so far this season, Villarreal is on decent form in La Liga ahead of their Monday clash.
The host has picked up 12 points from three wins and draws each in their schedule until now.
They will host on the back of a goalless draw on the road with the promoted side, Cadiz, last time out in the league.
Real Valladolid has descended to the ultimate bottom of the table with a winless streak in the campaign this term.
Four of their seven winless streaks ended in straight defeats, and they are in the league with the three points from their three draws so far this season.
They will visit after a 0-2 loss at home against CD Alaves in the previous league clash in the schedule.
Villarreal manager Unai Emery will be unable to utilize the services of Spain international and former Liverpool left-back Alberto Moreno, who is out with a long-term injury. Veteran midfielder Dani Parejo and left-back Pervis Estupinan are also injured, while there remain doubts over the availability of striker Gerard Moreno.
Meanwhile, Real Valladolid will be without Swiss right-back Saidy Janko, centre-back Javi Sanchez and experienced Spanish centre-back Kiko Olivas. Left-back Nacho is suspended.
