The Company’s Eleven have been one of the best teams in the competition for the past several years. They had narrowly missed out on an entry into the Champions League the last season, as they had to contend with a fifth-place finish.

This definitely has put a chip on their shoulders, and now they are determined to secure a top-four finish at any cost.

They have so far remained unbeaten in the league – a feat that has been replicated only by Wolfsburg. And to top it off, they also have conceded the second-fewest number of goals so far of all the teams in the contest.

Meanwhile, the Breisgau Brazilians are placed in the bottom tier of the table, and they so far have posted a single win in the league. On top of all that, they have a terrible h2h record against this opponent as well.

Peter Bosz’s men were unbeaten in 14 of the last 17 overall encounters. They have conceded a total of just one goal from the former six clashes combined.

At this stadium, the hosts had failed to score in eight of the preceding eleven games. In the past 16-year-period, the home team has won just twice at this venue.

Die Alte Dame have been one of the worst teams in the whole competition this season.

In fact, they have lost all but one of their games so far in the league, and this sole defeat had come against Werder Bremen – who had to go through the relegation playoffs, to extend their stay in the Bundesliga.

Meanwhile, the Wolves have been one of the most consistent teams in the contest, and they admirably are one of the three teams to still have an unbeaten record in the German top flight.

And do note that they have already had to take on some of the best teams in the tournament – Monchengladbach, Leverkusen etc.

Going on, Oliver Glasner’s men also do have a great h2h record against this rival, and particularly so at this stadium in the recent past.

The Wolves recorded eight of the preceding twelve overall wins. They have kept clean sheets in three of the last five match-ups. In the past 13-year period, the hosts have won just twice at this stadium. The home team has not scored a single goal at this venue in the last three clashes. The latest encounter at this ground had ended in a 0-3 win for the guests.
