The Spanish La Liga continued this past weekend with all 20 teams in action across Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, Atletico Madrid were held to a second consecutive goalless draw as they failed to breach a resilient Villarreal side.

Eibar registered their first victory of the season, defeating Real Valladolid 2-1 on the road while Elche and Huesca drew 0-0.

Real Sociedad were the biggest winners of the day, taking care of Getafe 3-0.

Real Betis returned to winning ways, beating Valencia 2-0 at the Mestalla.

On Sunday, Real Madrid climbed top of the pile following a scrappy 2-0 victory away to Levante.

Osasuna beat Celta Vigo 2-0, Deportivo Alaves took care of Athletic Bilbao 1-0, Barcelona were held to a 1-1 draw by Sevilla while Cadiz and Granada also drew 1-1.

In the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich played out a seven goal thriller with Hertha Berlin on Sunday.

It was one that the Bavarians would eventually win 4-3 with all goals coming from star-striker Robert Lewandowski including a stoppage time penalty.

Lewandowski scored all four goals as Bayern edged Hertha on Sunday.

On the same day, Wolfsburg settled for a 0-0 draw with Augsburg.

A day before, RB Leipzig moved top of the standings after thumping Schalke O4 4-0.

Borussia Dortmund also defeated Freiburg 4-0, Frankfurt came from a goal down to take care of Hoffenheim 2-1 as Borussia Monchengladbach beat Koln 3-1.

Werder Bremen were 1-0 winners at home to Arminia Bielefeld while Stuttgart held Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw.

On Friday, Union Berlin put four past hapless Mainz O5 in a 4-0 victory.

In the Italian Serie A, two games including Juventus’ clash with Napoli on Sunday and Genoa vs Torino were postponed due to Coronavirus.

The game at the Allianz Stadium was slatted to take place but Napoli failed to travel for the game despite Juve taking to the field of play.

Juventus took to the field despite Napoli not showing up.

In the games that were plated, Sassuolo beat Crotone 4-1 on Saturday while Roma edged Udinese 1-0 away from home.

On Sunday, Atalanta continued their free scoring as they beat Cagliari 5-2, Benevento edged Bologna 1-0 while Parma registered 1-0 victory over travelling Hellas Verona.

AC Milan required an inspired second half performance to take care of Spezia 3-0 while Lazio drew 1-1 with Inter Milan in the biggest game of the weekend.

In France, PSG turned on the style on Friday as they thumped Angers 6-1 at the Parc de Princes.

PSG put six past Angers on Friday.

Nice struck late to dispatch Nantes 2-1 on Saturday while Lens beat Saint Etienne 2-0.

On Sunday, Nimes shocked Montpellier 1-0, Brest scrapped past Monaco thanks to a similar score line, Bordeaux beat Dijon 3-0, Metz defeated Loreint 3-1, Lille were 3-0 winners at Strasbourg as Rennes drew 2-2 at home to Reims.

In the biggest game of the weekend, Lyon and Marseille drew 1-1 in a match that saw Dimitri Payet sent off for the visitors in the first half.
