Big League Playoffs – Semis

Kitara FC and Kiboga Young FC will contest the 2020 FUFA Big League playoffs final on Wednesday, October 21.
This came about after the two sides triumphed in their respective semi final match-ups on Monday.
In the opening game, Kitara ejected Kataka 7-6 on penalties after a barren draw in normal time.
Denis Monday, Phillip Sempira, Samuel Adibo, Patrick Mugume, Musa Docca, skipper Maxwell Owachgiu and Dan Ekoyu scored for Kitara while Peter Lumolo missed his kick.
Emmanuel Mukisa, Joel Baba Onziku, Hassan Wadenga, Moses Ssekasana, Azizi Nambobi and Nassur Nandala scored for Kataka.
Yusuf Ezama and Peter Lusimbula were denied by Kitara goalkeeper Denis Kiyimba to ensure the side from Hoima marches into the final.
In the other semi final, Kiboga Young came from a goal down to overcome pre-tournament favourites Ndejje University FC 3-1.
The University side took the lead on 35 minutes through a Sula Yumusiime penalty.
However, Kiboga looked a different side, scoring three unanswered goals to seal a spot in the final.
Captain Jamaldine Buchochera tapped home at the far corner, Brian Olega headed a corner in before Sula Wambede cconnected neatly with a low cut-back cross to seal the come-back for Richard Makumbi’s side.
Before the start of both matches, there was a moment of silence dedicated to all those who have succumbed to COVID-19.
Kitara and Kiboga Young FC will contest the final, for a place in the Uganda Premier League next season, on Wednesday, October 21 at noon.
