Cranes already in Dubai ahead of training camp

The Uganda Cranes have finally arrived in Dubai ahead of their training camp.

The team of local based players and Allan Kateregga (plays in Iraq) arrived in Dubai in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

They left Entebbe International airport at 9pm on Wednesday, September 7 aboard Emirates Airline after three days of delays due to travel clearances.

The team, majorly of locally based players and Iraq based midfielder Allan Kateregga had been scheduled to travel on Sunday, 4th October 2020 but the trip was delayed due to unresolved entry visas to Dubai.

In Dubai, they have been subjected to COVID-19 tests, mandatory for all travelers before heading to the team hotel.

The players will now link up with the foreign based players who arrived earlier.
Jayden Onen, Elvis Bwomono, Bevis Mugabi, Joseph Ochaya, Nicholas Wadada, Allan Kyambadde, Jamal Salim and Farouk Miya are the players who arrived ealier.

Derrick Nsibambi and Denis Onyango will not be with the team for the camp.

Nsibambi is currently nursing an injury sustain while on club duty while Onyango was not released by his side Mamelodi Sundowns.

The team in Dubai is expected to start training on Thursday as they gear up for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers double header against South Sudan.
