Express FC have on September 18, unveiled Faisal Ssekyanzi as their latest signing.
The playmaker joins the Red Eagles from Tooro United FC on a three-year deal.
Speaking during his unveiling, Ssekyanzi described the move as a ‘huge milestone’.
“Joining Express FC is a huge milestone but what is more important is playing for the badge.
“I hope to build on what i achieved last season.”
Ssekyanzi becomes the 5th player to join Express from Tooro United in this off-season, stepping into he footsteps of Cryspus Kusiima, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Charles Musige and John Byamukama.
Just like the four before him, the 23-year old will team up with his former coach Wasswa Bbosa, with whom they started last season at the now Big League side.
Last season, he spent most of his time coming off the bench and in the process, scoring just a single goal and assisting five others.
Ssekyanzi is not new to the Express set-up as he was in their Junior team in 2015/16, winning the league MVP award at the end of the season.
Having let go of over 15 players, the Red Eagles have now signed 12 players and expected to continue in the same vein.
The others that have been signed include, Denis Otim, Richard Bbosa, Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Isaac Nsengiyunva, Yaya Mahad Kakooza, Kiragga Mustafa.
Las season, Bbosa’s side finished 9th with 31 points from 25 games.
