KAMPALA – Express FC have on August 10, confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Cryspus Kusiima.
Kusiima joins the Red Eagles as a free agent from relegated Tooro United FC and becomes the first official signing for the six-time Uganda Premier League winners.
He has signed a two year deal with the Wankulukuku based side and will feature for them until 2022.
His arrival will surely put Mathaius Muwanga, who is currently first choice for Express-in between the sticks, under pressure for a starting role.
Speaking after his unveiling, Kusiima could not hide his excitement upon joining Express.
“Am happy to join this great club and I can’t wait to get started” Kusiima told Express’s official website.
He now teams up with former coach Wasswa Bbosa who managed him during his time at Tooro United FC.
Kusiima’s arrival is believed to be the first of many to come as the Red Eagles are expected to go on a signing spree after letting go of up to 15 players.
Express finished in 9th spot with 31 points from 25 games, last season.
