This past weekend, Jinja based side BUL FC confirmed the signing of two players as they continue preparations for the upcoming season.

Former Vipers left-back Aggrey Madoi was one of the two players joining Aurther Kyesimira’s side.

The confirmation was through a press statement released by the club on Saturday, August 1.

“The Eastern Region Football giants, BUL Football Club have this afternoon ushered in two players ahead of the forthcoming 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season. The new catch do include Aggrey Madoi (from Wakiso Giants FC) and Ibrahim Mugulusi (from Busoga ). Both players join on a two year deal.”

After signing the deal, Madoi was quick to express his delight to be joining BUL, also confirming that he was eyeing silverware.

“I am happy to be joining BUL FC. I promise the fans that i will do whatever it takes to make sure our team plays well and see that we can at least win a trophy next season. Madoi noted.

”I pray to God that we perform to our expectations and at least end the season with silverware

”I thank the coach for giving me a chance to join BUL FC and I hope good things are coming and will make our fans proud.”

Madoi is one of the most highly rated left backs in the country but has somehow failed to turn into the player many think he should be.

Last season, he was at Wakiso Giants FC where he struggled for playing time as he was back-up to Simon Namwanja.

The arrival of Alex Komakech meant that Madoi was then third-choice, prompting the Purple Sharks to move him on.

He is a player with decent experience in the Uganda Premier League, having previously featured for JMC Hippos, Police FC and Vipers SC.

To win silverware for BUL will be one hell of a task as the Jinja based side have never won anything in their time in the top flight.

Last season, they finished in 6th position with 36 points from 25 games.
