KITENDE – Vipers SC have continued their signing spree, unveiling a third player in two weeks.

The player in question is midfielder Jamal Kalisa who is understood to have put pen to paper on a four year deal.

Kalisa joins the Venoms from another Uganda Premier League side Bright Stars FC.

He becomes Vipers’ third signing of the current off season following the capture of Disan Galiwango from Express FC and former Mbarara City FC winger Ibrahim Orit.

His capture was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

“With former Express FC captain Disan Galiwango and Mbarara City FC’s industrious midfielder Ibrahim Orit already in the Kitende stable, we have gone a notch further by acquiring the services of Jamil Kalisa from Bright Stars.” Read part of a report on Vipers SC official website.

Kalisa teams up with former coach Fred Kajoba who is currently heading the technical team at Vipers. The two were together at Bright Stars before the latter departed at the start of last season.

Kalisa (L) and Kajoba (R) were previously at Bright Stars FC.

Last season, the midfielder managed two league goals, helping the Stars fend off relegation.

The 21-year-old began his career at the National Sports Academy before joining Regional side-Lungujja Galaxy in 2017 enroute to signing for Bright Stars at the start of the 2018/19 SUPL term.

Kalisa also played Futsal at some stage and was part of the Dream Team FC side that won the 2018/19 Futsal Uganda Premier League.
