KAMPALA – KCCA FC have completed the signing of Uganda Cranes defender Denis Iguma.
The versatile player who can also play as a midfielder has put pen to paper on a two year deal that will see him play for the Kasasiros until 2022.
His capture was confirmed on Sunday night on KCCA FC TV which airs on Sanyuka TV.
Iguma’s addition to the Lugogo based side’s fold adds vital experience to the squad that will feature in the 2020/21 CAF Confederations Cup.
It has been a trying last 18 months for Iguma who has been out due to injury, the same issue that forced him to miss the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He becomes KCCA FC’s fourth official signing this off season, joining the likes of As Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, Lorenzo Mazzengo, and Pius Obuya.
With Mike Mutebi the head coach of KCCA FC, this is a reunion with Iguma who he once coached at SC Villa.
Iguma is not new to the Uganda Premier League having played for Villa and SC Victoria University, with whom he won the Uganda Cup back in 2012.
Iguma has previously featured for Lebanese side Bekaa Sports Club.
Last season, KCCA FC finished second in the Uganda Premier League with 50 points, four adrift of winners Vipers SC.
