KAMPALA – KCCA FC have completed the signing of Charles Lwanga from SC Villa.

Lwanga who is also a student at St. Mary’s Kitende has signed a four year deal at the Kasasiros.

This was confirmed on Monday morning via the official KCCA FC website.

“Charles Lwanga has put pen to paper as KCCA FC player for four years until July 2024, read part of the post on the website.

He becomes the first official signing by the Lugogo based side in the current transfer window.

Speaking after putting pen to paper, Lwanga was full of praise for his new club and their manager, Mike Mutebi.

“I feel so honored to be at KCCA FC. I have always loved to work with Mike Mutebi because of his belief in young players. He is one that loves to give young players a chance and I have hope that I will develop further while here.” Noted Lwanga.

“I am so excited to work with the players at the club. They are top quality players so I expect the competition levels to be up.”

Lwanga also announced that he spoke to Mutebi before signing and he is ready to try and achieve success at Lugogo.

“I had a chat with the manager before signing and we spoke about where he wants to deploy me as a player.

“I am ready to adapt to the new environment and I am hopeful I can achieve a lot of success with this club.

“I have read about the club’s history and it is very rich. I want to add onto what the club already has and make the fans and my family happy.”

Lwanga spent last two season at SC Villa where he found playing time hard to come by.

In that period, he played 19 games, most of which were off the bench, barley making an impact at the Jogoos.

He is one of those highly rated youngsters in the country after scoring an incredible 33 goals and registering 21 assists in 35 Junior League games.
