KAMPALA – Late last week, it was reported that Disan Ggaliwango was set to join Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC.

The Express FC skipper was believed to be the number one candidate to replace Mustafa Kizza, who is expected to complete a move away from the Kasasiros in the coming months.

However, all those claims now look like baseless rumours as there has been a turn of events.

Through a Facebook post, Ggaliwango claims he will stay at Express FC.

“Success comes to those who are honest and confident in their en-deavour. Am to stay at EXPRESS FOOTBALL CLUB. Read the post.

Ggaliwango was tipped to join the Kasasiros after a stellar 2019/20 season with the Red Eagles.

Skippering the Wankulukuku side to 9th spot last campaign, the left-back cum winger scored a total of six goals and assisted his teammates on four occasions.

It is yet to be known why he changed his mind but rumours have it that Ggaliwango failed to agree a deal with Mike Mutebi’s side and opted to stay at Express FC.

The Red Eagles will feel delighted to hold onto their prized asset especially after handing out a three year deal to head coach Wasswa Bbosa at the start of June.
