PML Daily CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Central Motor Club donates food, cash

KAMPALA – Central Motor Club (CMC) has joined the fight against Coronavirus in the country with food and cash.

The club that is a member of the Motorsports in the country under their umbrella Federation of Motorsports clubs of Uganda (FMU) is going all in, in order to ensure Ugandans stay healthy and safe during this period

The Club has contributed One million shillings (Shs 1m) to FMU’S Emergency Response Ambulance initiative.

They have also donated food items like Posho (400kgs)Beans (205kgs) Rice (150kgs) and washing Soap (500bars) to the National covid19 Taskforce.

CMC Vice President Kakeeto Saeed Ali who led this Donation this morning handed over items to Minister of General Duties Mary Karoro Okurut at office of the Prime Minister.

Kakeeto says Central Motor Club is privileged to be the first Sports entity in Uganda to support the Cause and will always continue down the same patg.

“We feel proud that we have contributed this and encourage other sports organisations to get involved and help vulnerable Ugandans who are in need of food during this lockdown, he noted.

Coronavirus which causes the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world in all aspects of life.

It continues to spread world wide and their is no clear indication that it wide end soon.

Several sporting events including those of the FMU have been halted with no dates set for their resumption.
