Rajiv Rupalrelia is eyeing victory at the upcoming Jinja Rally.
This will be the second outing of the season following the Mbarara Rally a couple of weeks ago.
Rajiv who only started racing last year, did not finish the two-day event in the west as his car broke down.
He had taken the lead on day one but disappointingly had to withdraw on day two.
Ahead of the Jinja Rally which is the second event on the National Rally Championship (NRC) calender, his Volkswagen Polo Proto now has a new look and Rajiv intends to drive it to victory.
“I am very ready for the Jinja rally and my target is to go on and win the event, noted Rajiv.
“It’s unfortunate that i dropped out while leading the season opening event but this time the car is in proper condition and i am only focusing on victory in Jinja.”
Rajiv while be navigated by Enock Olinga.
Over 40 drivers are expected to take part in the Jinja Rally this weekend.
The Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV will grace the event.
Duncan Kikankane Mubiru and Musa Nsubuga in Subaru GVB won the Rukaari-Lake Mburo Mbrarara Rally last month.
