URA FC 1-2 Police FC
Arena of Visions, Bombo

Ben Ocen scored a second half winning goal to ensure Police FC beats URA FC on Friday afternoon.

The forward netted with 11 minutes left on the clock to see the Cops take all three points from a thrilling encounter.

Earlier, Abdallah Mubiru’s side had taken the lead inside 12 minutes when Derrick Kakooza poked home from a Timothy Oyamo cross.

URA FC could have equalized instantly but Daniel Isiagi missed from the spot following Joseph Ssentume’s foul inside the area.

However, the Tax Collectors eventually drew level, half way through the first period as former Police FC midfielder Hassan Kalega netted his first goal of the season off a Saidi Kyeyune pass.

It was an evenly poised encounter which could have gone either way but ut was the Cops who won it in the end.

The victory sees Police move out of the relegation zone and into 13th with 25 points from as many games.

The Cops are now a point above Maroons FC who drop into the red zone.

For URA FC, they stay on 40 points and remain in 5th spot.

In their next fixtures, Police hosts Maroons FC on May 6 while URA are away to Proline FC the day before.
