Wakiso Giants FC vs Maroons FC

Wakiso Giants will have a fourth different figure in the dugout when they take on Maroons FC on Tuesday.

Deo Sserwadda is the man who will be in charge of the Purple Sharks after replacing Livingstone Mbabazi.

Mbabazi had been installed to take over from Kefa Kisala and in between the hiring and firing, Steven Bengo has always executed the caretaking role.

With all the changes in terms of management, Wakiso’s targets have increasingly become questionable.

However, when they host Maroons on Tuesday, they will have their sights only set on victory especially after that morale boosting hammering of MYDA (5-0) in the Uganda Cup last week.

“It was a good response after a few bad results in the league and we hope to build on this in the league as well, noted Wakiso Giants defender Hassan Wasswa ahead of the game.

Wakiso will be without Right back Geriga Atendele who is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards. His position could be taken by either Ramathan Muwadda Kateregga or Ibrahim Kiyemba. Gadafi Wahab returns after missing the MYDA game since he is cup tied.

For Maroons, they will be hoping their cup victory over Express inspires them to win again in the league.

Douglas Bamweyana’s side have so far gone three games minutes victory and that form is threatening to drag them into the relegation dog fight.

Wakiso Giants start the day in 9th with 25 points, one ahead of Maroons who are 10th.

The first meeting between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw in Njeru.

The other games to be played on Tuesday

-Vipers SC vs KCCA FC @4pm
-Busoga United FC vs URA FC @4:30PM
-Police FC vs Bright Stars FC @4:30pm
