RB Leipzig vs Werder Bremen
Red Bull Arena, Leipzig
Saturday, 15-02-2020 @5:30pm

RB Leipzig have won five of their last six Bundesliga home games by more than one goal. Werder Bremen have lost four of their last seven Bundesliga games by more than one goal. RB Leipzig have scored at least three goals in five of their last six Bundesliga home games. Werder Bremen have failed to score in five of their last eight Bundesliga fixtures.

RB Leipzig will host Werder Bremen this Saturday in German Bundesliga action.

Leipzig will hope to keep the pressure on league leaders Bayern Munich by earning three points in this fixture. Die Roten Bullen currently sit just one point behind Bayern going into this weekend’s set of fixtures.

RB Leipzig have been impressive going forward this season. They have scored an impressive total of 53 goals in their 21 Bundesliga games this season. Leipzig have also scored 28 goals in their 10 Bundesliga home games thus far.

RB Leipzig have also been prolific in front of goal in recent home games. They have scored at least three goals in five of their last six Bundesliga home games.

Furthermore, Leipzig have already put three past Werder Bremen this season, beating them 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September. We expect Leipzig to threaten Werder Bremen’s defence this weekend.

Werder Bremen have failed to impress, either at the back or in the attack, in recent weeks. Firstly, Werder Bremen currently have the joint-worst defensive record in the Bundesliga going into Saturday’s game. They have conceded a worrying total of 48 goals in their 21 Bundesliga fixtures so far this season.

Over the past eight Bundesliga games, Werder Bremen have conceded a total of 20 goals. During that same eight-game time period, Werder Bremen have managed to score just three Bundesliga goals. This gives Werder Bremen the Bundesliga’s worst goalscoring record and worst defensive record over the past eight games.

In contrast to that, Leipzig have scored a more impressive total of 17 goals over the past eight games, conceding just 10, half the amount that Werder Bremen have conceded, in that time.
