Express FC vs Mbarara City FC
Kavumba Recreation Grounds, Wakiso
Sunday, 02-02-2020 @4pm

Express FC continue to have a mixed season this campaign.

George Ssemwogerere’s side have blown hot and cold throughout this season and that can easily be explained by their two previous matches.

After beating Proline 3-0, the Red Eagles went on to lose 1-0 to SC Villa in a game that they were clearly second best.

On Sunday, they have a chance to win their second game in the league since the turn of the year when they take on Mbarara City FC.

Three points will see them climb into the top 10 positions and distance themselves away from the drop zone.

However, they can not afford anymore slip ups as the pressure is mounting on head coach George Ssemwogerere.

The gaffer has been consistently asked to leave his role as head coach by the fans but has stayed put.

Following the 6-0 loss to Police FC a few weeks ago, he was attacked by fans and his car thrown stones at.

A similar scenario is anticipated in the wake of a poor show on Sunday in Kavumba.

Express FC have so far lost 10 games this season and won just 6 of the other 9.

For Mbarara, they have also been average throughout the campaign.

The Ankole Lions have already lost two games in the second round, winning one and drawing the other.

Their last game was the 0-0 draw at home to leaders Vipers SC. Having defeat Kakira in the Uganda Cup prior, Mbarara will feel they poses the required momentum to do damage against a shaky Express side.

The first meeting between them this season saw Express win 3-2 at Luzira. Mbarara will have it all to do as they have never defeated Express away from home.

The other games to played on Sunday @4pm

-Wakiso Giants FC vs Bright Stars FC
-Vipers SC vs Onduparaka FC
-Proline FC vs Kyetume FC
