Tooro United FC fought back to earn a draw away to Kyetume FC in the Uganda Premier League game played on Wednesday at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.
The troubled UPL side saw their worst fears come to pass inside six minutes when Cephas Kambugu converted from the spot to hand the hosts the lead.
Seven minutes into the second half, Yaffesi Mubiru who was one of the retuning senior players, equalized for the Car Dealers off captain Willy Kavuma’s assist.
Sensing that the game is there for the taking, both sides made several substitutions but none could win it in the end.
Kyetume brought on Ange Michael, Denis Lubowa and Bashir Wandawa as they completed all their subs.
For Tooro, Faizo Ssekyanzi and Deus Katuramu were the two players inttoduced in place of James Kasibante and Kavuma.
Despite both sides struggling for points at the moment, the contest was played in a sporting manner with only three cautions ditched out.
Kambugu was the only player to see yellow for the Slaughters while Farouk Katongole and Rashid Mukungu were booked for the visitors.
The draw sees Kyetume drop to 13th on the log with 17 points while Tooro United are now second from bottom on 15 points from 17 games.
In their next assignments, Kyetume FC will be away to Police FC on Friday, the same day Tooro United FC will pay a visit to KCCA FC.
