Maroons FC were held to a 1-1 draw by relegation threatened Tooro United FC at Luzira on Friday.

The Prisons’ side took the lead through Steven Mukwala but could not hang on as January signing James Kasibante equalized for the visitors.

Mukwala who has now scores 13 goals this season, headed home the contest’s opening goal off a Solomon Walusimbi cross to put Maroons 1-0 up inside four minutes.

However, two minutes to the break, former Wakiso Giants FC winger Kasibante levelled matters for Tooro United FC.

Either side had chances to win but could not convert.

Mukwala forced an excellent save from Chrispas Kusima before Walusimbi failed to hit the target while one-on-one with the former Kitara custodian.

For Tooro, Yafesi Mubiru hit the cross bar in the second half while Davis Sali shot wide from a decent position.
