SC Villa defeated Super Eagles 4-1 at the Peace War Memorial stadium in one of the five Uganda round of 64 matches played on Thursday.

The Jogoos who have won the title on 9 previous occasions were rampant on the day as they bid for a record-equaling 10th triumph.

David Owori, Bashir Mutanda, Ronald Magwali and Abdallah Salim were all on target for the visitors.

Fellow Uganda Premier League sides Bright Stars and Maroons also triumphed in their respective fixtures on the same day.

James Angu was the hero for Paul Kiwanuka’s side as they edged Kobogo Rising Stars at the Nyarilo Grounds in Koboko.

For Maroons FC, they required penalties to overcome a spirited Young Elephants side at the Olwio St. Mark Ground in Nwoya.

After a goalless draw in normal time, Douglas Bamweyana’s side were on hand to win the shoot-out 4-1.

In the other two games played on the day, both Kitara and Kiboga Young triumphed to reach the round of 32.

Kitara won their duel with Six Oclock 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Just like Kitara, Kiboga also required penalties to take care of Ggaba 3-1 after drawing 0-0 in 90 minutes in the game played at Buziga Islamic playgrounds.

The Uganda Cup will continue on Friday with 8 matches lined up. KCCA FC will be away to CITDA in one of the games, while BUL FC and URA FC will also be in action.
