Proline FC are the holders of the Uganda Cop.

Proline FC have been drawn to face Katwe United in the Uganda Cup round of 64.

Proline heads into this campaign as defending champions of the competition, having defeated Bright Stars on penalties to win the previous edition.

For Katwe, they will be hoping to replicate Proline’s success last term as they bid to become the second non-top flight side to win it.

At the same draws held at Serena Hotel in Kampala on Thursday, Vipers SC have been drawn to take on Kajjansi United.

This will be an interesting tie despite the gulf in quality between the two sides, as both are based on Entebbe Road.

The other interesting fixtures will see KCCA FC travel away to Catida, SC Villa take on Super Eagles FC while St. Mary’s FC hosts Express FC.

The round of 64 will be played between January 20th-26th.

Before the draws, it was confirmed that Stanbic Bank, the Cup sponsors, have increased the prize money to a total of Sh132M from 120M for the final 16 clubs with the winner to scoop Sh40M while the 1st runner up will take Sh20M.

The losing semifinalists will take Sh12M each, losing quarter-finalists bag 6M while the round of 16 teams will have 3M each.
