Joel Madondo will be a Wydad Casablanca player in the next few days.

This follows reports that the Moroccan giants have agreed terms with Madondo and he will sign for them.

It is understood that the two parties have agreed on a three and a half year contract that will see Madondo feature for the Casablanca based side until the close of the 2022/23 season.

Madondo who scored for Uganda in the final of the 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup against Eritrea in the 3-0 win last month, will join Wydad from Busoga United FC for whom he has been featuring in the Uganda Premier League.

He has been a regular in the Uganda Cranes set up featuring in CHAN qualification games on consistent basis.

He is a former Student at St. Mary’s Kitende, sprung to prominence courtesy of the National Post Primary Schools competition.

Madondo will become only the second Ugandan player after Murushid Jjuuko to ply his trade at the former African champions
