KAMPALA – Troubled Tooro United FC have appointed Muhammad Kisaka as their new head coach.

The former Paidha Black Angels FC tactician is understood to have agreed terms with the Kanyanya based side and will take charge of them with immediate effect.

According to Kawowo Sports, Kiseka who holds a CAF B license was named head coach on Sunday.

He has most recently been in charge of Bright Stars FC at the start of the Uganda Premier League 2019/20 season.

After a series of poor results, he was relieved of his duties at the Matugga based side and replaced with Paul Kiwanuka.

At Tooro, Kiseka faces a huge task of trying to stabilize a club which is in turmoil at the moment.

Earlier in the week, interim head coach Eric Ndifuna decided to step down sighting unfavourable working condition.

He was the fourth high profile departure at the club following the resignation of coach Wasswa Bbosa, CEO Moses Tusime and PR Shaban Lubega.

On Friday, Tooro also lost their first second-round UPL fixture at home o Onduparaka FC by forfeiture after failing to produce licensed players for the particular fixture.

To compound the wanting situation at the club, up to 15 players refused to fullfill their duties due to unpaid wages of three (3) months and in process, failed to travel for the game at home to the Caterpillars.

Whether the situation at Tooro United will change for the better anytime soon remains to be seen but hopefully Kiseka can stabilize what looks like a sinking ship at the moment.

In their next assignment, Tooro United will travel to Njeru to face Kyetume on Wednesday, 15th January-2020 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

They are currently 14th with 14 points from 16 games.
