Onduparaka FC defeated Busoga United 2-1 in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday.

The Caterpillars who were without victory in their last two games prior to Tuesday, struck through Julius Malingumu and Rashid Okocha.

For Busoga, it was Nelson Mandela who scored for them.

Despite a massive exodus being expected at Onduparaka, that did not deter them as they took charge of the game from the on-set.

And on 25 minutes, Malingumu would put them ahead.

However, Busoga replied instantly as Mandela levelled matters three minutes later.

With 22 minutes to play, Okocha netted what would eventually prove to be the winner for the home side.

Malingumu who has now scored 7 goals this season was named man of the match for his performance on the day.

Onduparaka’s Gibson Adinho was the only player booked during the game.

Victory sees Onduparaka climb back into third with 30 points from 19 games.

For Busoga, they remain 7th, three points off third spot.

The other games played on Tuesday

-Kyetume FC 0-2 KCCA FC
-Onduparaka FC 2-1 Busoga United FC
-Mbarara City FC 0-0 Vipers SC
-Proline FC 2-1 Police FC
