Four victories on opening weekend as FUFA Women Super League kicks off

Match-day One

Saturday 02-11-2019
-Kampala Queens 2-1 Olila High School
-UCU Lady Cardinals 1-0 She Corporates

Sunday 03-11-2019
-Kawempe Muslim 2-0 Uganda Martyrs
-Muteesa I Royal University 0-3 Lady Doves

The FUFA Women Super League kicked off this past weekend with all eight teams in action.

Kampala Queens got off to a winning start, coming from a goal down to defeat Olila High School 2-1 on Saturday.

Sharon Achen handed the visitors the lead on 34 minutes but a Fauzia Najjemba second half double ensured Kampala Queens win the contest.

On the same day, Kenyan born forward Maureen Kinavudori scored the only goal as UCU Lady Cardinals defeated She Corporates 1-0.

On Sunday, Kawempe Muslim beat Uganda Martyrs HS WFC by 2-0 at Kawempe Muslim SS Ground.

Juliet Nalukenge starred in the game, scoring both goals with the first coming in the 23rd minute while the other, 15 minutes from time.

At IUIU Kabojja, Fazila Ikwaput scored a hattrick as Lady Doves defeated Mutessa I Royal University 3-0.

Ikwaput scored in the 16th, 78th and 90th minute of the game.

After match-day one, Lady Doves lead the log with 3 points, Kawempe Muslim is in second place, Kampala Queen in Third while UCU Lady Cardinals in the fourth position.

The league will returns next weekend on Saturday 9th November with three games.

Kawempe will visit Muteesa I Royal University at Kabojja, Uganda Martyrs host Kampala Queens while Lady Doves will welcome She Corporates in Masindi.
