BOMBO – Midfielder Ambrose Kirya notched two goals as SC Villa hammered Tooro United 4-1 on Wednesday in the Startimes Uganda Premier League.

In a game played on a neutral ground, the Jogoos found the net in the third minute through Kirya, and signs of the side picking up all the three points were evident from that point as they dominated play.

Kirya, who seems like is enjoying himself at the moment found his second inside twenty minutes to send Edward Kaziba’s boys to the break with a two goal lead.

By the time Nicholas Kabonge scored Villa’s fourth in the dying minutes of the game, Faizo Muwawu had already ended the affair as a contest in the 56th minute when the former Busoga United player opened his account for the club.

Tooro’s sole goal came in the 65th minute, and it could only pass for a consolation as the match ended 4-1.

With four goals conceded thus far, Tooro are now the league’s third worst defenders having let in 17 goals. Only Police (20) and Express (19) have conceded more.

The result elevates the Blues to the third position while Tooro continue flirting with relegation in the 12th position.
