UPL Secretariat confirms rescheduling of 8 fixtures

The Uganda Premier League secretariat has confirmed the adjustment of more fixtures.

This was through a letter that was sent to several stakeholders on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019.

The adjustment is to allow the Uganda Cranes to continue preparations for the upcoming CHAN return leg with Burundi this Saturday. The other reason cited is the upcoming international friendly away to Kenya.

As a consequence, four games have been postponed and will be played at a later date.

The postponed games include Maroons FC Vs KCCA FC, Vipers SC Vs BUL

FC, Onduparaka FC Vs Vipers SC and Kyetume FC Vs Proline FC.

The above matches have been rescheduled as follows:-

22nd October 2019

-Maroons FC Vs KCCA FC, Luzira Prisons Grounds-Luzira (4:30 pm)

-Vipers SC Vs BUL FC, St. Mary’s Stadium-Kitende (4:00 pm) Live on Sanyuka

TV.

-Kyetume FC Vs Proline FC, Mandela National Stadium-Namboole (4:30 pm)

26th October 2019

-Onduparaka FC Vs Vipers SC, Green Light Stadium-Arua (3:00 pm) Live on

Sanyuka TV.

Defending UPL champions-KCCA FC will be playing in the CAF Confederations Cup on the 27th

October at home to Algerian side Paradou AC and on the 3rd November away. Accordingly three of their matches that were slated to be played during that period have been postponed to allow the Kasasiros time to prepare.

KCCAF FC’s games that have been postponed

-Mbarara City FC vs KCCA FC

-KCCA FC vs SC Villa

-Proline FC vs KCCA FC

Relatedly with the above postponements, the following fixtures have been adjusted.

SC Villa Vs URA FC that was to be played on Tuesday 29th October 2019 has been rescheduled and will be played on Friday 1st November 2019.

Kyetume FC Vs Vipers SC that was to be played on Wednesday 30th October 2019 has been rescheduled and will be played on Tuesday 29th October 2019, Mandela National Stadium-Namboole @4:00 TV.

Bul FC are currently top of the standings with 19 points after the first nine rounds of action.
