Police FC, Bright Stars continue poor start to season

-Bright Stars 0-1 Kyetume

Nine-man Busoga United piled more misery onto Police FC as they defeated the 2-1 on Saturday.

Boban Zirintusa and Julius Debbo scored Busoga’s goals while Samson Kigozi was on target for the visitors.

Zirintusa opened the scoring inside four minutes but Kigozi levelled matters on 18 minutes.

With halftime beckoning, Ismail Kawawulo was given his marching order after receiving his second yellow card of the day.

However, two minutes to the hour mark, Busoga restored their advantage through substitute Dabbo who slotted home on the rebound after a missed penalty.

It was all Police and with pressure mounting, Busoga saw Umar Mukobe sent off with 8 minutes to play.

Busoga somehow held onto the victory which sees them climb into 5th with 13 points.

For Police, they remain second from bottom with just two points.

In the game played at Wankulukuku, Bright Stars continued their winless start to the season as the were defeated 1-0 by Kyetume FC.

Sharif Sakka scored the only goal of the day that ensured Kyetume register a third victory of the season.

The three points earned mean that Kyetume now move into 9th with 10 points.

For Bright Stars, they have now gone 9 games without a single victory since the season started and are still 14th with just 5 points.

-Vipers SC 3-0 Express FC
-Maroons FC 0-0 SC Villa
-URA FC 0-0 Mbarara City FC
