Busoga United vs SC Villa

Mighty Arena, @1pm

Busoga United will bank on their home support to take down SC Villa in the Uganda premier League on Saturday.

Busoga will host their first game at the Mighty Arena as they have been using FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

The fixture’s kickoff time was earlier revised and brought forward to 1PM because of the ongoing CECAFA U20 tournament.

The home side-ninth on the log with six points, have beaten Bright Stars and BUL FC but lost against Tooro, KCCA FC, Onduparaka and Mbarara City.

For the visitors, they will be targeting to reclaim top spot when they visit Busoga United.

SC Villa is third on the log with 11 points and a victory on the road will see them occupy top spot before BUL and Onduparaka FC play later in the day.

Team news

Charles Lwanga who started on the bench at Namboole is expected to start against Busoga while its not known whether Yayo Lutimba’s injury inside the first half was severe.

Boban Zirintusa, Joel Madondo and Dan Ssewava are expected to be Busoga’s hope to take down Villa.

Match facts

This is going to be the seventh meeting between the two clubs with both sides wining twice since they first faced off in the 2016/17 season

Mutanda and Joseph Ssemujju were on target at Jinja while Madondo scored a brace in the 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture.
