BUL FC vs Bright Stars FC

FUFA Technical Center, Njeru

Tuesday, 29-10-2019

NJERU – BUL FC will host Bright Stars in one of the four Uganda Premier League games to be played on Tuesday afternoon.

Peter Onen’s side have been impressive this season, occupying second spot on the log after 9 games.

Since the start of the season, Bul have won 6 games and lost just twice.

All departments look to be functioning for the Jinja based side as they have scored the second-most goals in the division (13) whilst conceding just 7 at the other end.

However, they come into Tuesday’s game off a loss in their last game as they went down 2-1 at Vipers SC.

The game at home to Bright Stars is one that Bul will be expected to win as the visitors have been woeful since the season started.

The Stars are currently the only side yet to register a victory in the top flight.

In their first 9 games, Muhammad Kiseka’s side have drawn five and lost the other four.

Their form leading to the game has been promising as they have lost just one of their last four games (W0 D3).

However, their last game ended in defeated as they lost 1-0 at home to Kyetume.

Match Facts

This will be the 13th meeting between the two sides since they first met in October 2013.

In the previous 12, Bright Stars have won 7, BUL just once with the other four all ending in draws.

Bright Stars come into the game having won both of their last two visits to Bul, with both games ending in a 1-2 score-line.

Last season, the Stars took four points off BUL.

Bul heads into the encounter having lost only one of their last six games (W4 D1).

At home, Onen’s side have won three of their opening four games of the season (D0 L1).

For Bright Stars, they head into the game having lost two of their last five games (W0 L3).

Away from home, Kiseka’s side have drawn two and lost as many in their opening four games.
