UPL: Vipers SC defeat 10 man Bright Stars to get off to winning start

Vipers SC started the league on a winning note as they defeat Bright Stars 3-1 in one of the Star Times Uganda Premier League games played on Friday.

Bright Stars was the first to see the back of the net in the first half through Enock Walusimbi, his goal coming on 28th minutes.

Bright Stars was the better side in the first half but could not score a second, a price they paid dearly for later.

At the beginning of the second half Abraham Ndugwa equalized then Dan Muzei Serunkuma made it two in a space of 5 minutes.

Bright stars were reduced to 10 men after Farouck Katongole fouled a Fahad Bayo just outside the area, prompting a second yellow card.

Brian Nkuubi converted the free kick in the 90th minute, getting help from Nicholas Ssebwato as the shot stoppers fumbled the ball into his own net.

In the other games played on the day, URA FC beat Maroons 3-0 while Bul took care of Express 1-0.
