StarTimes Uganda Premier League
Mbarara City Vs Proline
Luzira Prisons Grounds
Saturday 31st August
Mbarara City FC host Proline FC at Luzira Prisons Ground in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday.
Both teams have new managers, Mbarara has Brian Ssenyondo while Proline has Matia Lule and they will all quest for maximum points when they face each other.
This will be the first game for Ssenyondo in top-flight. He joined from Synergy FC after the Ankole Lions parted ways with Livingston Mbabazi.
Ssenyondo was recently appointed as a head coach in an acting role as the club continues it’s search to finding a suitable man for the job.
For the visitors, they appointed former Uganda Cranes assistant coach Matia Lule to guide them through this campaign.
Proline FC come into the game on the back of a humiliating loss to KCCA FC in the FUFA Super cup but will hope to bounce back in Luzira
Captained by Hilary Mukundane, the Ankole Lions will rely on their attacking prowess of Brian Aheebwa, Paul Mucureezi, Ivan Eyam, Jude Ssemugabi and Makueth Wol to break Proline.
For Matia Lule’ side they will need Brian Amukani to fetch them the goals against Mbarara city.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams in the league.
Fahad Bayo, Sulaiman Matovu and Joseph Mandela gave Proline FC a 3-0 win against Mbarara in 2017/18 season at Lugogo.
The second-round game ended one-all with Emmanuel Obina (Mbarara) and Daniel Isiagi (Proline) on target at Kakyeka.
