Kitara Region vs Uganda Cranes

Boma Grounds, Hoima

Saturday, 20-07-2019 @4pm

The Uganda Cranes will be out to maintain their 100% record in the Regional tour when they take on Kitara on Saturday at the Boma grounds in Hoima.

The Cranes have already dispatched Kampala and Bushenyi in their first two games this year and a win against Kitara would make it a perfect three in as many fixtures.

It may not be a high profile fixture but one head coach Abdallah Mubiru is looking forward to.

“It is another game that we have to play and hopefully win. Noted Mubiru.

“It is also a chance for us to assess how far we have gone in turns of preparations and we will try to execute everything we have been doing since Sunday.

“I know the players are motivated for it and only a victory will be our target so as to build our confidence going into the next competitive fixture.

Mubiru is targeting victory on Saturday.

Ahead of the game, only Shafik Kagimu has been struggling with a knock he sustain following a collusion with Mustafa Mujuzi on Tuesday. It is however highly expected that the URA FC captain will take part in the game.

The Uganda Cranes are preparing to take on Somalia in their first CHAN 2020 qualifier on Saturday, July 26th-2019.

They have been training since last Sunday and entered a residential setting on Thursday.

On the same day, they defeated URA FC 1-0 at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo in their first build-up game.

After the game against Kitara, they are expected to return to Kampala on Sunday to continue with their preps for the Somalia game.
